This was our first time in Oban, and therefore our first time at Ee-Usk. It will definitely not be the last. We went there on a Saturday in the evening, and were greeted with typical Scottish hospitality. A table was found for us, and we enjoyed what can only be described as the perfect meal. The service was exemplary; there was no rush, and no hassling, just knowledgeable pleasant members of staff. The food was quite simply delicious. Our empty plates were a good recommendation for any chef. Try anything on their menu, you won’t be disappointed. The price was more than we are used to, coming from an old Lancashire mill town, but it was worth it. The next day we had a fish supper from the local chippy, and sat on the harbour front eating it with our fingers. It was a totally different experience. We would not have missed either experience. Oban is a place that must be visited.
