Ego Mediterranean Restaurant - Kenilworth Description
A chain of restaurants in the North West which have so far managed to retain the individuality of independence. If they can continue to do that and reap the benefits of joint management they will deserve all the success they can achieve.
At Ego the spirit of the Mediterranean has been invoked in a number of ways, not least by the décor. Ingredients are sourced with care, often directly from the Med and the menu changes seasonally to take advantage of the best that is available.
Such dishes as sardines, fresh of course, and a braise of chorizo and black pudding come across well, helped by staff who not only look as thought they are enjoying their work but also obviously know what they are about. A well thought out wine list with a number available by the glass.

The restaurant was very busy when we went, but actually to say they did handle it very well. The service, the food, the drinks and the staff everything was just great and we enjoyed it totally, especially the dessert, which was the brilliant warm chocolate pudding. It was so good that my wife and I were both were fighting on it. Thanks for everything.

My wife and I have been to Ego's on only one occasion, but the quality of food and excellence of service, coupled with reasonable prices charged has ensured that we will return in the very near future. Actually I am booking for my birthday meal this evening, and am pretty well sure that we will not be disappointed. Any one reading this may take it as a positive recommendation. PS - We have tried all the new restaurants in Kenilworth and Ego is far and away the best. Regards, Ken and Marilyn Birkett.
