Ego Mediterranean Restaurant - Kenilworth

My partner and I had dinner at Ego a week ago on Sunday, and although it was quiet as expected for a Sunday the food was very good. I had the goats' cheese on brioche to start and the flavours went really well together and left me salivating for more, my partner had a seafood starter of calamari, whitebait and prawns with a couple of dips which also went down as a treat. For main course my partner had the beef bourguignon, which just melted in her mouth and hit the spot just right, whereas I had the steak frites and asked for it medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. So often you can ask for a steak cooked in a certain way and it turns up either over or under cooked, so to get it just right and really juicy just capped off a really good dinner. To make it even better my 2 courses were on the 2 course deal for £11.95, which is very good value. The staff were friendly and helpful and the surroundings and decor were very pleasant too. All in all a lovely experience and well worth a visit, if you are passing through or looking for something a little bit special. We will definitely be going back.

The restaurant was very busy when we went, but actually to say they did handle it very well. The service, the food, the drinks and the staff everything was just great and we enjoyed it totally, especially the dessert, which was the brilliant warm chocolate pudding. It was so good that my wife and I were both were fighting on it. Thanks for everything.
