Ego Mediterranean Restaurant - Lichfield

I have had several girly lunches at this restaurant and a few weeks ago I visited this place in the evening with my husband and children. Lunchtime or evening, Ego is fabulous. The staff are friendly and helpful without being over the top. The food is excellent and I used to love the lunchtime menu on a Tuesday that also included a complimentary glass of Kir Royale, I believe this offer has sadly ended now. The view of the cathedral is wonderful.

My husband and I chose Ego - Lichfield to host a personal and exclusive wedding reception. We were looking for a smaller, more intimate venue with a difference and boy we did find it in Ego. It was perfect. From the initial phone call to Katie - the restaurant manager to collecting all our wedding aftermath, the restaurant is all you could wish for and more. I had a meeting with Katie a day before the wedding, discussed the layout, plans, menus and food choices and to be honest I have never found such an accommodating and friendly manageress that wanted the best for our day and us. When we arrived she personally greeted all of our guests, had a drink ready for my husband and I, every newly wed should have one, showed everyone where to go and what to do and generally played host. They had set up the seating area with pride and thought, there were personal menus and it was exactly as I described to her. All the meals for a party of 22 were well presented, tasty and on time. The food was delicious. I can truly say our experience at Ego was and always has been fantastic. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting beautifully presented food, tasty and varied menu choices and a romantic and beautiful setting.
