Inspired by the Mediterranean lifestyle, Ego's Restaurant in Surrey Street believes it's all about healthy food made from natural ingredients and served in pleasant surroundings to enable their guests to take the time to relax and enjoy a meal. The menu is a mixed bag of Mediterranean, Spanish and Moroccan cuisines.

The seasonally changing menu offers prawns sautéed with garlic, chilli and parsley, breaded mozzarella and spring onion risotto balls served with a warm Neapolitan sauce, Dijon chicken salad and grilled sardines on toast. For the main course, select from Moroccan lamb tajine, Andalusian pork fillet, wrapped in prosciutto, roasted and served with a spinach, apricot and sherry cream sauce, confit duck and goat?s cheese, leek and red pepper tart. For a quick lunch, there?s choice of salmon fish cakes, spaghetti carbonara, rustica pizza and Tuscan meatballs. To finish, consider white chocolate and orange pannacotta, vanilla mascarpone cheesecake or a Mediterranean cheeseboard. From the wine list, house whites include Marche Bianco and Chardonnay and house reds include Marche Rosso and Rioja Royal.
