El Blason

8-9 Blacklands Terrace, London, SW3 2SP

Spanish cuisine brings tapas, paella and sangria to mind and if you're driving past Blacklands Terrace and wish to experience all this coupled with warm hospitality then head to El Blason. Here it's not uncommon to see loyal customers and the business crowd step out looking perfectly content after a fine meal there. The kitchen uses top-notch ingredients in well-presented dishes such as char-grilled, marinated pieces of pork, mushrooms cooked in garlic, sweet peppers fried in olive oil and sea salt, fresh avocado crab garnished with cold langoustine, and Spanish spicy sausages in wine sauce. The house specialities are served by special order and this includes a barbecued whole suckling pig, grilled foie gras with port sauce, lobster tails, baby eels and goats' cheese salad with raspberries and melon.

REVIEWS OF El Blason

Stuart W King (31 August 2004)

This is the jewel in the crown of London dining. Great people (mostly regulars); great tapas, lamb, fish (to die for) and baby pig. Great wine selection and the owners are absolutely wonderful people. I go at least 4 times a week when in the UK.

S King (10 March 2004)

Best deal and fun and food in London.
