Family-run Spanish restaurant, El Molino, has been spreading a little Iberian sunshine on Holloway Road since opening its doors in 1987. The warm and welcoming ambience allows diners to sit back and relax, while the accommodating owners are happy to host private parties for up to 70 guests.
 
The menu is as extensive as it is varied with a wide range of authentic tapas as well as freshly made paella and homemade desserts holding sway. A hearty meal could include starters of avocado and prawn salad, prawns in wine and garlic, deep fried breaded crab claws, chicken in garlic sauce, Spanish bean stew with chorizo and kidneys in sherry sauce. The delights continue with main courses such as trout cooked with prawns and mussels in a meuniere sauce, Dover sole in lemon, wine and butter sauce, breast of chicken topped with cheese and ham and pork medallions with olives in a tomato and cream sauce. Desserts of crème caramel, apple flan and tiramisu bring the meal to a satisfying end.
