Electric Brasserie
191 Portobello Road, London, W11 2ED
Part of the Electric Cinema complex, The Electric Brasserie's mission statement could be summed up in one word, self-indulgence, and the cuisine is described more accurately as brasserie style with English and American influences. Everything that you could wish for in the way of spoiling yourself and your guests has been thought of, and when, out of sheer perversity, you manage to dream up something that hasn't, hey presto! There it is. Truly a haven for the sybarites of this world. A meal at The Electric Brasserie is a journey into an agreeable place where each stage smoothly slots into the next. The food fits into this pattern perfectly with imagination well to the fore, so how about a fennel and wild garlic soup, hot buttered prawns, sirloin steak sandwich or ½ dozen wild Colchester oysters from the all day menu.Part of the Electric Cinema complex, The Electric Brasserie's mission statement could be summed up in one word, self-indulgence, and the cuisine is described more accurately as brasserie style with English and American influences. REVIEWS OF Electric Brasserie
Fahad Karamat (9 July 2003)
I have been here on a couple of occasions with a group of friends and the standard of the food and service has remained consistent. It's trendy, funky and the cosmopolitan crowd makes this place a great venue for any occasion. The seafood, although pricey, is reflected in the quality of food offered. I was not overly impressed with the cold lobster, but the bucket of prawns was exceptionally good. Service is unbeatable as the staff are polite, efficient and accommodating. Highly recommended!
