Eleo's
32-33 The Kingsway, Swansea, SA1 5LE
Eleo's is a popular destination frequented by a varied crowd of young professionals, distinguished businessmen, local sports and television celebrities and discerning diners. The restaurant changed hands in 2007 and the new owners have done away with the old fashioned 'queue and choose' system where diners had to get up to select their food from a display cabinet. The original décor filled with old timber beams, white linen napkins and fine tableware produces an elegant and sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere. A new, modern and exciting menu now awaits diners, which includes starters such as grilled king prawns in garlic butter sauce and smoked barbecued ribs with a maple syrup coating.Eleo's is a popular destination frequented by a varied crowd of young professionals, distinguished businessmen, local sports and television celebrities and discerning diners. For mains there is baked salmon vegetable stack and beurre blanc, and fillets of sea bass with parsley and lemon butter sauce. Other specialities are the lamb fillets with potato cake and the unique style Portuguese 'espetadas' - long skewers with chunks of marinated lamb or beef drizzled with garlic butter.

REVIEWS OF Eleo's
Mike Harris (25 February 2011)
We visited Eleo's a few weeks ago as it was recommended by some work colleagues of mine and we were not disappointed. The menu has plenty to offer everyone and you can choose from meat, fish, pasta dishes and the famous 'espetadas'! After devouring some ribs to start, I went for the lamb espetada which my colleague said I just had to try - and he was spot on! I could easily have ordered another one had my girlfriend not intervened and insisted I kept room for dessert - it was really that good. The fact that a few of the Welsh rugby players were eating there as well obviously means their taste is as good as mine.

We went to Eleo's, before a show, during May this year and we were very pleasantly surprised. They have done away with the choosing your meat-fish at the counter and now have full waiter service. The service was excellent, along with the menu, and the food was extremely good. The menu is not too extensive, which is always a good sign. It is way ahead of it's main competitors in Wind Street and SA1.
