Emile's Description
This is a friendly neighbourhood restaurant, and is frequented by a regular local clientele. The amiable staff compliment the unpretentious and welcoming atmosphere, and bring a blackboard menu over to your table. The food is modern British cooking with a frequently changing menu. The wine list features over 40 wines, which has a good scattering of new and old world, all very competitively priced.

I took my girlfriend to Emile's for our anniversary. We found the service welcoming and friendly. Emile seemed a nice chap, and the added touch of bringing the blackboard menu to the table was good - he explained each item to us in detail. The food was good, some of the best I've had in London and the prices were reasonable. If I’m ever in the area again, I will certainly pay another visit.

For the price, considering its location near the heart of Putney, Emile's is a great choice. Quality cuisine, fantastic presentation, with a fairly diverse, interesting menu. Good wine selection. The service was above average, and although it could have been quicker, the friendly attitude of the staff more than made up for it.
The atmosphere was very good, particularly in the more romantic basement room, and there was more than adequate space between the tables. Recommended.
