It is a lovely family restaurant. The owners and staff, wonderful people, treat the sixty five seats as their living room. So they say. And the whole stay there breathes that lovely atmosphere. DO try the wonderful home-made chilli sauce! It is spicy but ever so refreshing. Also, they have an excellent collection of Turkish/International wines. And, for those who know, there are really good Turkish wines and rather bad ones. Escale certainly have selected the good ones. We loved the mixed mezes and the spinach starters. The main course we chose were two quite different lamb dishes. One was called hunkar begendi, the lamb was succulent and tasty with a nice aubergine sauce. We had no time for desserts, but were persuaded to have a lovely Turkish coffee. It felt nice to be part of this family. We will certainly come back!
