The Restaurant Guide was started in 1997 by Richard, 7th Earl Of Bradford with the aim of providing informed, accurate and accessible information on UK restaurants for both tourist visitors to Britain and local diners. His experience as a restaurateur, and as former President of the Master Chefs of Great Britain proved invaluable in creating the premier online guide to restaurants, gastropubs and cafes.

With listings for almost 5000 restaurants across Europe at your fingertips, all searchable by location or cuisine, Restaurant Guide allows customers to find the perfect restaurant for any occasion. Our listings include opening times, contact details and a map with many also including a detailed description from our hand-picked team of dedicated restaurant experts, and with thousands of impartial user reviews you don’t just have to take our word for it. Restaurant Guide has expanded far beyond its modest beginnings and to become the foremost international online guide with detailed information on over 15,000 UK restaurants as well as listings for more than 72,000 restaurants in the United States.

After enjoying a fruitful partnership for many years, Livebookings (Europe’s largest online marketing and reservations service for the restaurant industry) took ownership of the Restaurant Guide site in March 2011.
