Novelli's (Puerto Banus)
The hotel is great and the restaurant is fabulous. We chose the hotel to explore the main attractions and it proved one of our better decisions. We dined at the restaurant at the weekend and were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. It is situated near a road and we were a little concerned about the noise, but this was not the case. There is a wall of water on the decked terrace area which drowns out any possible traffic noise. The lighting is perfect. The music was spot on as was the food, for which we can only say wow. Not only was it served with several smiles, but nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We could not fault any of it; taste and presentation both were fabulous. I can't wait to return.
Raphael Restaurant (Brussels / Bruxelles)
This is my favourite restaurant in the world and I hope to visit it again someday soon.
The Shebeen (County Mayo)
We ate at this restaurant on a Saturday, The food and service were excellent, and the location and setting were perfect, right on the Coast Road, well worth the drive out of Westport which is about three miles, you will not regret going there. I highly recommend it.
Oriental Express (County Donegal)
It is a gem of a restaurant, I`ve been there a few times now and the food and service are excellent. Take away menu is always great and service is prompt. I have recommended this place to friends with a promise that they will be blown away. Going for a takeaway as soon as I`ve posted this.
Koefoed (City)
This was a wonderful Danish fusion restaurant. The meat was delicious and so was the pork. The service was dutiful and attentive. You get to really go home to your country and talk about the Danish island from which the food was derived, to the different tastes from different foods. For a great Danish experience that is not just fish, this is a wonderful place.
Eastenders Restaurant (County Waterford)
I visited Eastenders last Saturday night. It has been refurbished and is now called just Eastenders Restaurant. It serves European as well as Indian cuisine. The food is just wonderful and very affordable. The atmosphere is so relaxed with Indian music playing in the background. The staff are very efficient and friendly. Overall a very enjoyable night and will definitely go back. They are open now for lunch and buffet on Sunday. They have a good website with all the menus on it.
Mughal Indian Cuisine - Longford (County Longford)
Great food, great service and inexpensive! We will definitely return.
Oro Restaurant and Oro Bar (Oslo)
We had our best meal in Oslo in Oro Restaurant in Saturday in a stylish atmosphere. There are menus for 4, 5, 6 course at very low price for Oslo. We could have our wonderful dinner looking at the chef cooking for us because there was nothing to separate the dining room and the kitchen. We had such a good meal that after two days we tried the attached brasserie, which is as good and as beautiful as the restaurant is. Do not miss the very best salmon you could have in Norway. The chef is nice and came to our table to give us suggestion for other great restaurant in Oslo, but I think nothing can be compared at Oro with respect to price and quality. An absolute must!
Brasserie Lipp (Zurich)
We've dined at Lipp's on several occasions and never been disappointed. It's one of the few restaurants in land-locked Switzerland where you can get good fresh saltwater fish and seafood. This time I took my sister, who lives by the sea in Kent, and even she was impressed with her sea bass. I started with the fish soup, which was excellent, and then tried the mixed grill of fish and seafood. Good points: the salmon, sea bream and mussels were beautifully cooked; less good was the tuna steak, which was a bit dry, and the scampi, which I had to break into, but was worth the struggle and the sticky fingers. All washed down with a bottle of Zurich Raüschling wine, a thoroughly good evening out.
DYRE VAA Cafe Restaurant Bar (Oslo)
It's a great place with great food and drinks. I was there for lunch yesterday with some friends. I had a delicious shrimp sandwich with homemade bread. The benches outside are great for enjoying cold beer and watching people pass by. Great service and friendly staff.
