Alberts Cabopino (Marbella)
Fabulous food and great service, with a marvellous view of the port - can't recommend it enough.
Livingstone Rive Gauche (Paris)
A perfect Thai restaurant with excellent food, service and a very beautiful and cosy ambience.
O'Briens Good Food and Drink House (County Meath)
Booked a table for four at 8.30pm on Saturday but were not seated until 10.10pm, which was terrible, there were about ten other people waiting as well. The food was lovely but wouldn’t go back as the service was too slow. I sent in a letter of complaint to the manager and it was never acknowledged.
Millesimes 62 (Paris)
We had a very enjoyable and relaxed evening at Millesimes 62. It was a nice and great place with very authentic and delicious food. It’s definitely one to return to and recommend.
Brasil (Barcelona)
I think Brasil bar is a total rip off - €8 for a beer.
Restaurang Viktoria (Gothenburg)
This is a very nice restaurant with great service. It’s my favourite place to visit for a dinner when I go to Gothenburg.
Amano Bar und Trattoria (Nordrhein Westfalen)
Amano Bar und Trattoria is a great place to eat good Italian food. I went there with my wife a couple of months ago, the place is cute and what's not surprising though were the people - there were really kind, helping us with the choice and also the language. I am a great fan of Trattoria and to me Italian food is the greatest on earth better than French. Finally this place is a great ‘souvenir’ and great place to eat good Italian food.
Iowa Spur Steakhouse (Dublin Area)
We have been to the Steakhouse in Liffey valley quite a few times and the food has always been four stars. The steak is beautifully done as is all the other food. The members of staff are brilliant, and cannot do enough to ensure that you feel welcome and comfortable. I have yet to be disappointed. Try it as its also great value for money.
Cirkus Sushi (Barcelona)
The best sushi ever and the New Year’s Eve menu sounds great.
Gauchos - Beethovenstraat (Amsterdam)
This is a place where more fat is what you get! We all know that the meat at whichever Gauchos restaurant you go to is good. Tonight, I tried the one in Beethovenstraat in Amsterdam. As expected the meat was good, the problem was ‘how much meat?’ Four of us took the same kind of meat, but different quantities. At least that was the idea. 400, 300 and 225 grams were ordered, and of course different prices were charged. Now, throughout the meal as each of us ate his/her meat, each of us started removing pieces of fat surrounding the meat. Fat, to be clear, is not meat and should not be eaten, and therefore should not be sold, or charged for to customers. In this Gaucho, fat has its value. It is part of the ‘steak’ you order, as the owner of the establishment gladly argued. The more meat you order, the more fat you get; way more fat. We tried, with no luck, to explain this to the owner who refused to understand, that charging more money to a customer for more fat around their meat when in fact what they were hoping for was more meat was simply not right. After a good ten minutes of begging her to understand, we were not even looking for a refund, but simply for an apology, we gave up. The Gauchos have suffered tonight from poor management, and obvious dishonesty. You need to keep in mind that a steak of 400 grams has as much meat as a 225 gram steak, why pay more then if what you get extra is fat? PS, the service was extremely slow.
