Corral de la Morería
BookCalle Morería 17, Madrid, 28005 [Map]
The Corral de la Moreria in Madrid is popular for its exotic flamenco shows as well as the delicious Spanish food on offer and its location in the centre of the city, next to the Royal Palace has also helped in increasing its popularity and accessibility. The décor is fascinating with Arabic corbels and streetlamps from the 18th and the 19th century, and takes you back in time to the settings of the original tablao flamenco.
From their a la carte, you could choose grilled king prawns with lobster juice, which could be followed by cep mushroom cream with foie gras ravioli. For main course, there's salmon with fine aromatic herbs and grated cheese flakes although you could also try the paella or grilled ox entrecote with padron peppers. End with a dessert of caramelised rice pudding with tangerine sorbet. The extensive wine list offers cavas and champagnes apart from the usual whites, reds and rosé wines.
