Casa Roque
BookCuesta San Juan, 1, Morella, 12300 [Map]
The recently renovated Casa Roque is located at Cuesta San Juan, on the corner with calle Segura Barreda. The building has three fine dining rooms, a kitchen, a bakery-cum-cake shop, amenities, wine cellar and shops. All of these are in a 17th-century building abounding with history.
The building features antique doors, coats of arms, high ceilings and wooden beams, making it a unique place. Our cuisine uses ingredients from the region and the recipes are handed down from generation to generation, modernised to provide guests with the finest flavours of meats, soup, pottages and sausages, not forgetting the black truffle, representing the diamond of the region.

Galbis
BookAvda. Antonio Almela, 15, L'Alcudia, 46250 [Map]
Located 30 km from Valencia on the Valencia-Albacete motorway and famous for its giant paellas that travel the globe, Galbis is listed in the Guinness Book of Records for its October 2001 'paella valenciana'. The family started their restaurant in the beginning of the 20th century, in the town of Alcoy. It was their grandma Eulalia Doménech, who reached the banks of the Júcar after the Spanish Conflict in order to open the Casa Galbis de Gavarda, a place often visited by truck drivers and travellers.
In 1963 Antonio Galbis, the son of Eulalia decided move to Alcúdia. There, together with his sons, he has made Restaurante Galbis among the finest in the area.

Sargantana
Llano De Zaidia 16, Valencia, 46009 [Map]
Think of Valencia and pictures of cathedrals and museums spring to mind; but it's more than just that, there are beautiful beaches, a vibrant nightlife, well-developed tourist infrastructure and excellent food. Talking of food, it may not be another London or New York but there's enough choice to leave diners fascinated, and places like Sargantana deserve special mention for creating a warm bistro like environment for quiet enjoyment of food and wine in good company.
The menu remains true to its regional roots featuring foie gras, duck ham and rocket, green gazpacho and warm goat cheese crudités. A great deal of innovation is manifest in dishes like beef carpaccio with parmesan juice and sepia black rice and asparagus; desserts such as crème Catalana help you sign off in style.
Wine is taken seriously in Sargantana as they play host to several wine tasting events and the drinks list unearths some value for money Spanish gems.
