I grew up with Evaroni's Pizza and have never had pizza that good in the entire world. I have had good pizza but never anything like Evaroni's. If you are in town you should also make sure you have a Midway hot dog, fries and root beer.
Stranger in a Strange Land (4 January 2009)
As a visitor to the region I was surprised at the lack of good pizzas available. Evaronis makes a tremendous effort to provide a decent pie in a barren environment. There seems to be a regional preference for ‘sweet’ tomato-based sauce on the pizza that I have never experienced before. It's not bad, but does take some getting used to. I'd give Evaronis a solid three stars out of five. They serve decent pizzas for a place where real pizzas are a scarcity.
