Everest Inn - Blackheath Village

41 Montpelier Vale, Blackheath Village, London, SE3 0TJ

While not entirely demolishing any stereotypes you may have of Indian restaurants, Everest Inn does try to create a new image of the modern age Indian and Nepalese eatery with élan. The décor is casual and borders a mite above functional but it is the food that you need to consider and formulate your opinion. Made from the finest ingredients, the focus in the execution seems to lie between traditional and contemporary and they pull it off extremely well. Starters could include the Nepali choila, marinated lamb mixed with fresh herbs and served with crispy rice, followed by salmon tikka or chicken bhutuwa, boneless chicken with green herbs, spices and spring onions. Fish and seafood options are numerous while biryani is another popular rice preparation.

REVIEWS OF Everest Inn - Blackheath Village

Dipi (12 September 2010)

After having tried the Everest Inn in Hythe, we thought that we should also try this one which is closer to our home - Essex. It did not disappoint and the food was excellent. The restaurant has had a refurbishment and we found it to be new, gleaming and clean but the food was the main thing we travelled to Blackheath for. Once you have eaten here, you will find the usual 'Indian' restaurants well below par. We will be back!

Debbie N (5 February 2010)

Ate with family and friends at Everest Inn - Blackheath just after Christmas and it was one of the best Indian/Nepalese meals I have had outside of my own home. We are going back again with more friends, next week. Can't wait!
