If you have been to Liverpool and not visited Everyman you really have missed one of the best bits. In a basement under the theatre of the same name Everyman has been looking after the eating and drinking requirements of Scousers and foreigners (ie other parts of UK) for thirty years and shows not the slightest sign of losing its touch. Tinned and frozen food, and additives are banned. Instead the twice a day changing menu takes advantage of local fresh food, some from Lancashire and Cheshire. It's self-service and unfussy, but pays close attention to the things that matter like quality and cleanliness. There is a good selection of wines and for those who like a decent pint of real beer, go no further.
