I stumbled upon Fanny Trollope's by accident. It has a great atmosphere, the food is superb and service is excellent. You can find good, fresh food served with charm and courtesy.

Fanny Trollope’s is one of Glasgow's best dining experiences – sure, it can be busy and noisy, but this adds to the general buzz. The food is, without fail, fantastic every time and the added advantage of BYOB with reasonable corkage so you don't need to pay restaurant mark-up on the wine. Mo and Gary offer big, hearty dishes with the emphasis on the very best of Scottish produce. Some more economical or unusual cuts of meat sympathetically cooked prove you don't need to splash out on fillet steak, deliver a wonderful understanding of flavours and textures, and provide a welcome break from the predictable cuts offered in many other establishments. Portions are generous but make sure you leave room for pudding. Be warned though, once you've been there, you'll find it very hard to find another restaurant which measures up in terms of food, relaxed ambiance and sheer good value for money.
