Your Reviews of Far Pavilions, The

A Mcclelland (28 July 2009)

We have only been there once, but we enjoyed the whole eating experience. The service was first class and the food was superb. We are going back this weekend and we were so impressed with this place that we are treating a friend to her first ever Indian restaurant; that is how highly we think of the place.

Dave (11 March 2009)

My fiancé and I have now visited three times without ever once having a bad experience. The food is extremely tasty, my fiancé would especially recommend the jhinga butterfly as a starter while I would recommend the Goan curry as a main. The drink is the average price you would expect from an Edinburgh restaurant with usual mix of wines available. Our personal favourite is the Prosecco. The main draw for us however is the service. I don't know if Mark, the reviewer below, had a one off problematic day for them but even after waiting 6 months between visits, the waiter remembered us from before, the service was quick and with a smile and as an extra bonus we got a complementary drink of our choice after the meal. Not an uncommon thing, I've seen a lot of tables getting this as long as you make an effort to be nice to the staff. All in all this is our favourite place for dinner in Edinburgh.
