FATleo, fast becoming one of Brighton's most popular Italian restaurants, is the latest addition to the successful group that includes Donatello and Pinnochio in Brighton. Apart from being fun and lively, FATleo has perfected the personal yet unceremonious approach that delights visitors to try this bistro-style restaurant.

The food is freshly prepared using excellent quality ingredients and includes starters of melanzane rotolo - thinly sliced sautéed aubergine layered with tomato sauce and fontana cheese topped with mozzarella cheese - and fried baby calamari served with a tartar sauce. Follow it by ribbon pasta in a cream, bacon, egg and parmesan cheese sauce or a stefano pizza, with tomato, prawns and rocket. Hearty mains also include grilled salmon in a cream and dill sauce served with sautéed potatoes and fried breast of chicken coated in parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs served with spaghetti pomodoro.

Ring down the curtain with a FATleo gelato, vanilla ice cream and espresso coffee topped with whipped cream, accompanied by an amaretti biscuit.
