Fem Små Hus literally means five small houses and is a classic Stockholm restaurant, situated in the Old Town close to the Royal Palace. Here you have the possibility to taste Swedish cooking at its best and enjoy the historic charm of its surroundings. The restaurant has its premises in five separate houses, which have been connected. The oldest of them is Hans Hanssons Hus, dating from 1651, which contains 'The Inner Vault' - one of nine cellars in these buildings. This place opened in May 1969, has kept its character throughout the years and is now considered one of the classics in Stockholm with respect to the cooking as well as the atmosphere. In 1694, Anna Lindberg was known as the proprietor of an illegal tavern in this block. Kalvfilé Anna Lindberg or a veal fillet is a favourite dish, which has now been served in her memory for more than thirty years.
