Fifteen Thirty Nine Restaurant & Bar Description

Many people regard Fifteen Thirty Nine as a restaurant that has helped change the way Cheshire dines; the sleek and contemporary venue with an attractive glass-fronted exterior and a panoramic view across the racecourse encourages customers to relax, eat, drink, and have a good time.

The roof is an exclusive private members area situated on top of the restaurant. Open for all thirteen race days, the lounge seats forty people and offers facilities such as a racing concierge, table service, a specially selected menu of food and drink, and betting facilities.

The restaurant serves contemporary British food, all created with produce bought from farmers across the whole of the British Isles and available at reasonable prices. Start your meal with a soothing cream of local butternut squash soup or shepherd's pie, black pudding sausage rolls and deep-fried whitebait. A fillet of monkfish baked in curry salt with aubergine, or roast haunch of venison could follow.

A rich red wine poached pear or baked chocolate fondant helps end in style.

Fantastic! A group of ten of us went along on Sunday to enjoy the brilliant Sunday lunch offer - basically £12.50 for two-courses. Great food, yummy roast beef, very attentive staff, and a beautiful view for a sunny Sunday afternoon. Will definitely go along again!

Fifteen Thirty Nine Restaurant and Bar provided the worst meal I've eaten out in years. It took over half an hour to get seated in the restaurant despite booking, and there being several empty tables. No menu was brought over, you had to get it yourself and then the staff didn't have a clue what vegetarian food they had. After choosing a winter vegetable tarte I was given a small, dry pastry shell filled with a couple of carrots, a bit of Swede and a poached egg plonked on top, which was not even mentioned in the description. There were no vegetables etc to accompany it. When I asked to change it for a dessert the staff took it away and didn't even return with a dessert menu. Then they added extra drinks onto the bill that we hadn't even had! Members of staff were wandering around aimlessly with plates of food asking random diners if they'd ordered it. The place was freezing cold and the service and food was without doubt the worst I've eaten. The couple at the table next to us complained too. If you want a good meal avoid this place at all costs.
