Filini - A huge disappointment! The evening got off to a bad start when a tray of drinks was spilt across our table, guests and the floor but accidents will happen. We were efficiently moved to another table, easy enough as only two other tables were occupied that evening. The starters were great but things went downhill from there. Requests from two of our party for omission of anchovies from their main courses were ignored. Side orders of vegetables were finally brought out after we had finished our main course. The service was so painfully slow and came with such attitude that we didn't even bother ordering desserts or coffee. By then it was 11:45pm. The kitchen staff seemed capable of producing some good food and some of the more junior members of staff were pleasant but there was no organisation and nobody seemed in control despite the restaurant being practically empty that evening. There are numerous better places to eat within five minutes walk of Filini.

I think this is the best Italian restaurant outside of Italy.
