I am sitting there now - live on the web, at a table by the window and so inspired was I, that I felt compelled to share my experience with you. It's a Friday evening and the restaurant is sparsely populated with diners so perhaps the exceptional service is inevitable.

I'm having the set menu which, with the usual 3 starters, 4 mains, 3 puds is not extraordinary, however the choice is.

I have decided on the chicken and foie gras terrine with home made apple chutney' as my starter and it really is something to savour.

Next for the star attraction - roast rump of lamb, chorizo lentils, baby turnips with a rosemary jus and as they say, always leave them wanting more. I better leave room for pudding. From the main menu it had to be hot chocolate fondant with Baileys ice cream and a caramel lace. I have dined in many a London brasserie and would fully expect to pay upward of £50 for this meal so it is a pleasing experience to pay under £24.50 there.

I am very content and happy.. Finally it was all there on one menu, well thought up combinations making it all the more difficult to choose. But choose I did and I can't complain. The wine list caters for all with enough in the £18-£26 category and a separate wine list in the £40-£120 category, I had the Preece Chardonnay and very nice it was at £22.

All in all I would heartily recommend a visit and I will be coming back.

My family and I had lunch in this attractive and comfortable restaurant for my 40th birthday. Being a party of 5 adults and 2 children under the age of three we had expected some regarding seating/meals for the children but found the facilities for young diners were excellent. Not only are there ample high-chairs but the extensive children’s menu takes the hassle out of family dining by providing you with well balanced meals presented in a fun way (Fat chips stacked in a Jenga-style tower). With the adults now able to relax, the stylish but tasty and ample food was now made all the more enjoyable, ably assisted by the delicious wine from the extensive and not over priced wine list. The staff was friendly and helpful and we wanted for nothing during our 3 hour celebration. With the average cost per head being roughly £30, I would heartily recommend this restaurant to anyone wishing to experience family dinning at its best or to those who like to enjoy a mouth watering meal in delightful surroundings.
