A good trek up Falcon Road from Clapham Junction Station, Fish In A Tie's off the beaten track location does nothing to deter its loyal customers. This popular fish restaurant serves all the favourites from swordfish steak to lemon sole at bargain prices making it essential to reserve a table at weekends. We meet our son there once a month for a meal and love the ambience, the food and the value. If you haven't been – go, it's well worth it. A little hidden gem!

I've been to Fish in a Tie seven or eight times now, and have booked again for this Friday. The food was excellent value and the main course has some really unusual dishes like duck in a honey sauce. The desserts are pretty good too, and there's a decent wine list with a selection of reasonably priced wines. The restaurant itself is shabby chic, oversized gilt mirrors crammed in with kitsch lampshades, which is much nicer than it sounds. It definitely works. Fish In a Tie does an inexpensive two course menu on weekday nights and is definitely worth checking out.
