Fish! Restaurant

I’d booked Fish for my friends 30th birthday and had been so looking forward to it. As it is just round the corner from Vinnopolis where we were going wine tasting, I thought the location could not have been more perfect. And that is where the excitement ended. The restaurant is not as stunning as it looks on their website. When we got to the desk and asked for our booking for 15.30, we were looked at blankly. The place was nearly empty so we were soon seated.

I’d already decided what I wanted from the menu on their website, in fact, both my friend and I ordered swordfish sandwich. The waitress came back and told us they did not have any bread. It was strange as we’d been offered bread and butter to start with. She spoke to another woman and then the chef, pointing me out each time and finally I was told we could not have our sandwiches, despite this dish being advertised as their speciality both on the website and the menu faxed to me the day before. I could not believe a restaurant like this one could run out of bread!

I spoke to the deputy manager, who did not understand what I was talking about and did not help. I’d cancelled another reservation to book here only, I felt, to be treated so badly. It affected my friend’s birthday celebration.

Food fantastic - only problem is it's always busy and with the glass building and a full house the noise is similar to a busy public swimming pool!
