Fishermans Wharf Restaurant Description

How often does one see the typical slightly dishevelled American dock of the bay with the good 'ol boys holding up the weatherboarding and thought 'where's the restaurant'? Well, here it is - at last. Looking out over the River Stour you have a choice of venues in which to enjoy the very fine seafood and fresh fish dishes on offer here. Yes, unrepentant carnivores are catered for, and not grudgingly either. A delightful, atmospheric place which has taken the ideal location and maximised upon it.

Your Reviews of Fishermans Wharf Restaurant

Roderick Dallow (27 February 2009)

My wife and I tried this place early evening last month. The attractive outlook is not matched by either the unimaginative menu or the lack of any atmosphere in either the ground floor bar or the upstairs open style restaurant. The quantities served are open to considerable improvement - shellfish first courses and fish main courses are very small and the cooking quality of both varied between barely average and not acceptable. The quality of the raw material was questionable. The service was polite but inadequate for the prices being charged, as was the table décor. They open your wine before bringing it to the table! Heard enough?

Phil Hudson (21 November 2008)

The food was great and so was the venue. We had a wonderful meal on a Saturday night. This place should be bursting at the seams with customers. It was excellent value for money too, and I can't wait to return. It’s just a shame we live so far away. What a shame the people in Sandwich don't appreciate what they have on their doorstep. I'd be in there every night if I could.
