REVIEWS OF FishWorks - Richmond

Mike PH (18 August 2008)

We were a party of six: good starters, whitebait and squid both beautifully cooked and the fish soup was shared and admired. The main courses were good with the fish and chips deemed excellent. The wine, a Pouilly-Fume was at a reasonable £27. My main course of grilled fish and shell fish was astonishing - two small fillets, one scallop and one prawn for £20. Did we complain - too difficult? The front of house management was not in evidence at all with our waitress spending most of the evening in deep conversation with a table of friends. We eventually had to take a walk to get the bill. Would I go again? Probably not - at those prices, £200 with the one bottle of wine, it’s reasonable to expect quality in all aspects.
