Excellent food, excellent service! We decided to drop in on this place without booking. We thought were early enough to get a table for two. A nice cosy place with excellent food. The Italian white wine went down well. Look out for the Chelsea bun ice cream!

After reading all the reviews for Fitzbillies on this website I am very puzzled. Could this be the same restaurant my husband and I went to at lunchtime last week? Upon entering there were NO staff in the room, so we sat down and waited, and waited, eventually, a stony faced young bloke appeared, carrying a sign saying 'Wait here to be seated' and plonked it down near the door where we were sitting (as if to make a point!). He then gave us a rather disdainful glance and promptly disappeared behind the wall from whence he came! Joining another idle waitress.

After another 10-15 minutes, we just walked out and left, because we were blatantly being ignored! Don't you NEED customers Fitzbillies? So I cannot comment on the food I'm afraid, but even if it was cooked by Jamie Oliver himself it would have made little difference on our overall opinion of this place! I have never seen such a terrible example of 'Service' in my life!
