Flaneur Description
Dining at Flaneur is a real experience, as it's actually a food hall that just happens to have a rather fine restaurant combined into the layout, so you can dine out in style as well as catch up on your grocery shopping. Not that you'll find any boring store cupboard essentials here, the shelf space is dedicated to exquisite delicacies such as premium olive oil, cheeses, olives and delicious homemade sauces.
The menu uses these premium ingredients too to provide you with dishes such as perfectly steamed moules marineres or duck confit. What's more, before you decide on whether you can manage dessert or not, you can compile your shopping list if you've been inspired by your surroundings.

Our wine took twenty minutes to arrive and the starters were lovely. I had ordered a steak rare and when it arrived it was not rare. I spoke to the manager and told him that I would like a new one but he was discourteous. I will definitely not return.

The food in Flaneur was of a good quality (if a little expensive) but the service was some of the worst I have even come across - we waited over an hour between courses and a polite query on the point was met with a "this is not a fast food restaurant" comment (though they were pretty speedy at hustling us out and closing the restaurant at 11pm). Until they sort the service out this is not worth the money.
