Chef/Proprietor Mark Hartstone and his wife Emmanuelle are at the reins of La Fosse at Cranborne, a delightful place providing quality accommodation, as well as delicious home cooked dinners with friendly and efficient service, all in comfortable idyllic rural surroundings.
You can relax in leather armchairs in front of the log fire, have a glass of wine from the bar or enjoy the tranquil courtyard garden.
It is also a perfect base for exploring Dorset, Wiltshire and Hampshire, as it is located in Cranborne village centre, on the boundary of those historic counties. The village is set in the heart of Cranborne Chase on the edge of the New Forest, a short drive to the beautiful Jurassic coast and sandy beaches of Bournemouth.
They aim to use local and free range whenever possible as they think that the local product is superior from elsewhere. The food is traditional English with a dash of international touches.
Please note that they are open every Bank Holiday weekend for lunch and dinner on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
