Fountain House Description
A 15th century manor house in Constable's Essex, with bags of charm, offering painting courses and an escape route for those wanting peace in idyllic surroundings. The menu, whilst modern, has a classic foundation. The mixed smoked fish Hors d'oeuvres makes an elegant and tasty start to the weekly changing menu. The mushroom and cream cheese pancakes look, and are, delicious, this from a dedicated carnivore. There are eight house wines ranging from £9 upwards and an interesting collection including some bin ends worth exploring.
