There is a glittering choice of places to eat in this handsome new hotel. Let's take the Fountains Restaurant, an elegant place to dine if ever there was one. Whilst the menu tends to concentrate on the traditional there is a contemporary influence at work which might well lead you into pastures new. Nor is local produce neglected and laverbread gateau makes an appearance. An expansive wine list makes interesting reading and house wine is on offer at £12.50 a bottle.
