The best meal we have had in a very long time. The portions were extremely generous so much so that we were very concerned that they can't be making any profit. This place is well worth the drive out of Stratford.

A promising evening was ruined for us at The Fox and Goose. It was a mediocre meal for two of us but for the other two, it was poor and neither ate much. When the waiter cleared the plates he commented on why there was so much left, we said that it was because it was not very nice. We ordered beef lasagne but it had lot of sauce, very little lasagne and no beef. The waiter apologised and said we’d not be charged for that but later in keeping with his bosses’ instructions, we were asked to pay because we didn’t complain during the meal. Now when he asked if the meal was okay, the lasagne eaters were just starting, so had not realised the lack of beef, and indeed pasta. The waiter offered the refund, we did not ask for it. It was disappointing to see his bosses behave that way. The location is nice and it promised so much, but failed to deliver. The food was average and expensive.
