Fox, The Description

Located in the tiny village of Willian, The Fox is a popular choice for modern English food enthusiasts and earns its well deserved place in the Good Food Guide. The clean, bright lines at the restaurant help guests settle in for a formal meal and those looking for a pint of Fullers London Pride could jostle each other at the bar.

The menu opens with Cromer crab tian bound in a lime and coriander mayonnaise and half a dozen Brancaster Staithe oysters served au natural or tempura battered with sweet and sour sauce. This could be followed by a main course of pan roasted loin of Hertfordshire venison with caramelized celeriac and carrots, braised red cabbage and a bitter chocolate sauce, and Sacombe Hill Farm lamb shank with mash potato, spinach and a tomato and rosemary jus.

Finish with a Baileys parfait dusted with pistachio nuts served with chocolate sauce and chocolate crunch.
