Frankie and Benny's combine the best of classic American and Italian in both style and cuisine. They specialise in home style cooking 'just like Mamma used to make it'. This is a great place to take the entire family and represents excellent value for money. The restaurant and bar is suitable for any occasion, whether it's a leisurely lunch, a family meal or a fantastic evening with friends - they make sure you have a great time.
Walking into the restaurant is like stepping back into 1950s New York, from the clatter and chatter of the open kitchen to the bottle lined bar. Walls with black and white family photographs showing life in Brooklyn's "Little Italy" surround cosy booth seating and tables. Combined with the classic music of the fifties, a mix of American swing and beat, they definitely provide a fun and friendly atmosphere for all to enjoy.
Frankie and Benny's offers a range of succulent starters, mouth watering meals and delicious desserts. Favourites include chargrilled burgers, pizzas, pastas and house specialities such as chicken parmigiana, risotto and T-bone steak. The bar serves a wide range of beers, wines, spirits, cocktails and soft drinks.
Their sharing platters with options of chicken, skins, ribs and wings and a combination are a great way to start your meal if you are dining in a group. The pastas, calzone and pizzas are attractive and all made freshly on order. An interesting dish on the menu is a breakfast pizza with generous amounts of pork and herb sausage, ham, sautéed mushrooms and a whole egg cracked into the centre before baking. They also serve a variety of sandwiches and burgers throughout the day.
For children up to the age of ten, an all-inclusive menu featuring Frankie and Benny's very own Gangster Mice is available! For just £3.95, your child can choose from a great selection of main courses, desserts and soft drinks. As an added treat, they'll also receive a kid's pack full of activities and stackable crayons to entertain them whilst you eat.

We went there on Saturday and the place itself was okay. The hostess that showed us to our table was lovely, polite and helpful. We bought our drinks at the bar and didn't have a very long wait for a table for five. We had a young child with us and chose from the children’s menu, no drink was offered, the meal itself was very dry and no sweet was offered either. We felt the waitress we had was very grumpy. The meals for the rest of us were slapped on the table, 'everything alright' was an after thought. The food tasted nice but the presentation was appalling. My husband had steak with tiger prawns and we had to hunt for the prawns – it looked more like a shrimp. It was not value for money either. I would not go back again.

I found the restaurant itself very warm and welcoming. We were quickly shown to our seats. It wasn't very busy when we (a group of five) turned up on a Sunday. We gave our drinks order and had quite a long wait, before it arrived. Because of this we called over a waitress to take our food order. Some time later a waitress politely told us they were out of one of our meals, and walked away without giving us a menu to select an alternative. So we had to call another waitress over to give us a menu. We chose an alternative and the food came along reasonably quickly after that. Food was ok - nothing special though for the price. We got the bill and found out the meal we originally wanted was in the bill along with its replacement. We called over a waitress to sort it out and she came back with the meal taken off but another meal from another table put on so the bill was more than the first. Our third bill was correct however. The waiters and waitresses spent a lot of time huddled together chatting and it was difficult to get their attention. Overall - nice place, ok food, but the service needs a bit of work.
