REVIEWS OF Frankie & Benny's New York Italian Restaurant & Bar - Newcastle, John Dobson Street

Carol (16 June 2010)

This restaurant has great food and atmosphere.

Yvonne (11 November 2007)

I visited the restaurant, how dreadful if I could say that. We were taken to our table and on the way I nearly fell flat on my face due to the floor being slippery. The waiter escorting us to the table ignored that and left us for nearly twenty minutes before coming across to ask us if we would like a drink. I ordered a spaghetti Bolognese, safe option or maybe not. That's what I could only describe as a watery tomato sauce with a very tiny amount of mince in and lacked any flavour. My friend ordered chicken and ribs, which was rather well done. The pleasure cost us just over twenty quid inclusive of two soft drinks. Next time I would do a pub lunch for a third less in cost. Also the waiter appeared to understand very little English.
