A country house restaurant in rolling countryside just beyond the boundaries of Petersfield and very much a family home. Start with the smoked salmon and basil roulade and progress to the ballantine of quail filled with a light duck mousse. If you can, or have to, resist the excellent choices of cheese the crème brûlée with a fruits of the forest coulis could be your bag. There is also an attractive gourmet menu. A smart wine list offers plenty of choice. In the 2006 Les Routiers Awards the hotel and restaurant took the title of Hotel of the Year.Modern British
