Fredericks Restaurant

106 Camden Passage, Islington, London, N1 8EG

Fredericks has been established for over 40 years now, under the attentive ownership of Lou Segal, a popular figure in the catering world, and boasts a particularly upbeat feature - a licence to conduct marriage ceremonies! For many years it has been renowned as one of the better places - to eat - in North London, and has maintained a consistently high standard. Signature dishes include chicken liver and foie gras parfait, toasted brioche and figs, and pork cutlet with black pudding, char-grilled apple, spinach and calvados jus. For the vegetarians it could be Parma ham, melon and rocket salad with lemon, honey and black pepper dressing. Their timeless desserts like lemon tart with raspberry sorbet or chocolate marquise go down a treat with their cosmopolitan clientele.

REVIEWS OF Fredericks Restaurant

Robert Thoresby (4 January 2007)

We booked for 6.15 prior to Swan Lake at Sadler's Well, but did not manage to arrive until 6.40 pm, so only had time for a main course. The staff were as helpful as possible, even checking with the kitchen as to how long it would be before the dish we had chosen - we both chose a fish dish - was on the table for us. I have been to Frederick's before but it was my lady friend's first visit. She loved the ambience, the food, the wine and the service. Thank you, Frederick's.

Anne Page (13 December 2006)

This remains tip top - helpful admin, good service, good atmosphere, good food and wine. Just as fine now as over thirty years ago when I first started going.
