French Table - Surbiton Description
A real find in an area which one still tends to associate with The Good Life and assume that, gastronomically speaking, is beyond the pale. Not so and I suspect that if you find your way there you will be firmly hooked. The menu is sufficient without being over the top, perhaps eight or so starters and slightly more mains. But the dishes are so well described and look so good as they emerge from the kitchen that you really are spoiled for choice. Service is good, carried out largely by people who know how - the French. A vigorous wine list pays homage to the kitchen, with reasonable prices and clever choices. This is a place to find, remember, and keep to yourself - or am I being just plain selfish?

I have been to this restaurant twice now and have been happy both times. Normally eat out in London but this is a good local. Very reasonable well prepared food and excellent service.

Having visited the Restaurant several times, I can only agree with the review. Service is attentive but never over the top. The food is simply the best, full of flavour and well presented.
The Wine list is interesting and the atmosphere is very nice. This is the place you will want to come back to time and time again (and in order to get a table, you better not recommend it to a large number of your friends).
