A unique experience in terms of venue, fixtures and fittings. We stayed in the Mountbatten Suite which was very nice. Next time we go, we are keen to have the Lady Guinevere tree house. Food was hearty and cooked to perfection. Excellent choice of wines. Friendly, eccentric atmosphere. I think John, the owner was formerly a teacher at Hogworts School of Wizardry and Witchcraft. I can't wait to return.

We went to Frogg Manor last night on a recommendation for our 24th wedding anniversary. We had heard that the owner was charmingly eccentric, that the food was excellent and that we would be surrounded by frogs! All of which was true. My husband, a connoisseur of medium rare, had the T bone and my heart was in my mouth waiting for him to complain that it was not cooked to standard. I was stunned when he ate the whole three courses without complaint. The sweets were delish - a baked apple and the white chocolate mousse. The service was attentive but not in your face and quite relaxed. I really enjoyed the 20s Jazz music but didn't wear the flapper dress so a twirl on the intimate dance floor was out. However, after several glasses of wine we willingly sang along to Minnie the Moocher. This is definitely a restaurant for special occasions. You will either love it or hate it but as we quite like eccentric and idiosyncratic we really loved it and will definitely be going back.
