Funny Peculiar Restaurant

I recently dined at Funny Peculiar Restaurant for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised. I live in the area and eat out a lot, but had been put off by the name. I am pleased to say that was not the case at all. The menu was interesting and well thought out with lots of things I’d like to try, which is unusual for me. I had griddled sardines to start and vegetarian chick pea pancakes for my main course - they were tasty. Unfortunately I could not manage a dessert but the panacotta my friend had looked yummy. I will definitely be going there again and recommend it.

Locals recommend and eat there which is always a good sign. We were not disappointed and it was relaxing and memorable.

Eating out this time I went for a steak, surprising for me as the range of fish including scallops, normally would be my area of first choice, and the variety of other alternatives was not small. I was not disappointed and if the owner aims to inspire an interest in food and show French and New World meets British then I believe that has been achieved.
