The sort of neighbourhood restaurant of which we ought to see far more, this one, a welcome addition to the old town in Edinburgh, offers incredible value to a loyal clientele and those others who are lucky enough to stumble across it. The décor is gloriously informal and, together with the homely food succeeds in making customers instantly at home. Scottish dishes predominate, but not to exclusion, and ingredients tend to be locally sourced whenever possible.

It was our tenth wedding anniversary meal so it had to be good. Unfortunately it wasn't. Exquisite would be a better description. From the perfect aperitif to the sumptuous dessert we could find no fault. Excellent service and relaxed ambience made for a night to remember. We will definitely return on our next trip to Edinburgh, and would recommend the establishment highly. Many thanks.

This is a superb restaurant. Excellent service, wine, canapes, setting and the food... well it's exquisite. If you're a fan of cuisine from the Languedoc this is for you, if not why not! The imaginatively prepared menu encapsulates the restaurateur’s passion for good hearty food from quality, local sources. This is an exceptionally good place to eat.
