A good meal but I thought it was very expensive for what it was; nearly £100 for two including a middling bottle of wine and the 12.5% service charge.

I have had many fantastic meals at The Gate, it is the only restaurant I would go if it was for a special occasion, with its situation close to the high street and the fact that it has free parking, the only problem is getting a table on Friday and Saturday at short notice, I always need to book! But what a restaurant!
