Gates on The Park Description

This elegant 18th century property is, as its name suggests, situated at the top of Richmond Hill at the gates of the Royal Park, with views over the Thames Valley. The intimate 2 rosette Gates on the Park restaurant mixes an air of Georgian formality with contemporary style, while the service is epitomised by a relaxed attentiveness.

The menu is characterised by modern interpretations of classically based ideas and the kitchen makes sound use of quality ingredients in unpretentious though not unadventurous dishes that deliver satisfying, clear flavours. Try a starter of goats' cheese pannacotta on beetroot shortbread, followed by pan fried sea bass with puy lentil and parsley beurre noisette.

I found the Gates on the Park absolutely delicious. A well deserved 2 rosette restaurant. The lobster ravioli starter and herb crusted lamb main course was incredible (couldn't quite squeeze in a dessert). Well done, to the new management!
