Geeta is undoubtedly one of the best Indian restaurants in London. Having been to India I can tell you that it makes the food just the same as in the homeland unlike other Indian restaurants. The restaurant is modest with large open dining areas and is lightly decorated. The atmosphere is nice and welcoming, Indian music plays quietly and the staff are honest, fast and polite. The staff take pride as it is a family run restaurant.

The food is delicious- a few cheap poppadoms and onion bhaji make a wonderful start and the chutneys are truly authentic and a wonderful complement to whatever you eat. The mains are also very good, the meat isn’t as good as the vegetarian dishes as I believe Indian meat dishes are not as popular in india due to 80%+ of the population are Hindu. However masala dosas and other snack like foods eaten with some rice make a brilliant meal out of this restaurant. A nice sweet to finish such as goolab jaman makes a fine finish to a meal at this wonderful restaurant that truly brings AUTHENTIC Southern Indian food to your plate.
