This is a wonderful place to eat and fairly good value for money at £30 to £40 per head for what it is. Don't run away yet - the buffet means that you can eat several plates of excellent lobster for starters and have your value for money. The starters are not the pretentious, substance-less morsels that one can often find at such establishments, but include a wide range of vegetarian and seafood options, which are robust and tasty. The excellent carvery means that you will always get what you want in terms of meat or chicken; the vegetarian dish is also invariably good, although I generally prefer the lamb. The desserts are to die for. I thoroughly recommend the place for the experience; eating excellent food in lush surroundings and serenaded by a skilful pianist is a must-do.
