Gilbert's Restaurant Description

Grim's Dyke Hotel in Harrow is set in over forty acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and woodlands and was the former country home of Sir William Gilbert. In fact, this hotel is a true shrine for Gilbert and Sullivan aficionados from across the world because they are constantly seeking to revive the operetta legacy that the famous duo has left behind. Even so, you can visit simply to enjoy the sumptuous surroundings, luxurious bedrooms, lavish hospitality and of course, the delicious food in their 2 AA rosette winning elegant restaurant.

Gilbert's offers imaginative menus have been thoughtfully created to include a wide range of dishes such as a starter of fillet of Brixham cod with risotto or pearl barley, ceps and chestnut veloute and a main course of peppered sirloin steak with red wine jus. Amongst desserts, the chocolate fondant with rum and coconut sorbet is excellent and the wine list at Gilbert's is extensive, featuring some classics as well as innovative choices from the New and Old World.
