For those looking for a dim sum experience there are chicken croquettes, scallop siu mai and garlic chive mushroom, while a beef panaeng and fillet of Asian spiced lamb should please hearty diners.

A quick look at the dessert menu could reveal a chocolate and lemongrass brûlée with sorbet and tropical fruit cake with passion fruit jelly.

REVIEWS OF Gilgamesh

Tam (15 September 2008)

I am not a big fan and had my leaving dinner at the restaurant. We booked a table for ten people. Unfortunately, two people couldn't make it and I had to cancel two seats. Of course they made a huge fuss about it and we ended up having to pay for the menu that we also had to pre-order. I was not happy about all of this. The service was okay but you can get great Asian food for way less money.

T of London (17 April 2008)

I arrived after a particularly stressful day at work, which involved a lot of travelling. I was looking forward to a relatively nice meal with my boyfriend and a couple of friends. The evening quickly turned into a farce when it became clear that we were going to have to wait a very long time to actually receive any food we had ordered. The starters arrived with some cocktails, which was okay but the food was overpriced. My boyfriend’s Caipirinha was small but for a £10 charge, I think a larger cocktail was definitely called for. We ordered several dishes for mains and mine did not arrive at all. After catching the attention of a waiter by leaving my seat and walking to him, I explained that this simply wasn't good enough. The waiter, who was perfectly pleasant, went in to find out what was going on. On his return, I was told that the kitchen had run out of beef curry. I was offered, by way of an apology, a plate of two small lamb pieces with pureed potato and a few glasses of champagne thrown in as well. While our waiter tried his best to help, I think the kitchen and management staff could have communicated better so our meal could have arrived in a co-ordinated manner. We were disappointed with the whole evening.
